Introducing Sunshine Cove

A Magical Quilting Adventure
Featuring Machine Embroidery Appliqué & Quilting in the Hoop

Sunshine Cove... A Block of the Month Quilt featuring cozy cottages and gorgeous landscapes that can be created entirely in the hoop using an embroidery machine.

Sunshine Cove features twelve jumbo blocks, each measuring 24" square, that can be created as beautiful stand-alone wall hangings or joined together to create a stunning full size quilt (measuring 80" x 106"). A bonus 50" square mystery medallion will be revealed later in the year and can also be created as a stand-alone quilt or used as the center of an out-of-this-world king size quilt (measuring 106" x 106"), surrounded by the twelve 24" blocks.

Sunshine Cove is happening one block at a time, with a new block being released on the 28th of each month in 2020.

Each month the quilt will come alive with fabric, thread, and gorgeous stitching details.

A private online community has been created for you to ask questions, share your successes and challenges, and form lasting friendships with other quilters all over the world. 

Written instructions and video tutorials meet you where you learn best. The instructions are broken down so that even a beginner can join in while the more experienced quilter will still enjoy the journey and learn a lot along the way!

Sunshine Cove was created with the thought of a global village. As the world is telling us to be more independent, to only look out for ourselves, and to focus on me-me-me, let's get back to simpler times. Sunshine Cove reflects a community where we know our neighbors, and care for each other. A place where people live in harmony with each other and enjoy the bounty of nature.

The scene is peaceful, idyllic even, and it's our idea of a slice of paradise. You can hear the birds chirping as you stroll through the village, admiring the lush gardens and cozy cottages.

Sunshine Cove is so much more than fabric and thread. It's a reminder that we all need more uplifting moments in our lives. We need to uplift others and accept uplifting ourselves. It's about the pursuit of joy (even when that means creating it ourselves), finding the beauty in every day, and bringing more light in this world even when things get chaotic.

You may feel like you can’t take on a project of this size and detail, but I’ve noticed the people who are willing to ask questions are having wow moments and are in awe when they realize what they can accomplish. Just listen to Sandra's excitement:

I have never done anything like this before, didn't know what SVG files were, didn't have a cutting machine like the Cricut, never attempted this type of quilt. I was impressed that Sarah has a calm way of teaching, she is very thorough, and the people in the group jump in and help me out when I need it. The designs are beautiful! Learning how to do this type of embroidery has been easy for me so far and I am excited about each month that comes along. 

Not only will you learn so much in the process and have a gorgeous quilt at the end of this, but the knowledge and skills you gain here will be applicable to any project in the future.
